Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Tyler Wood knew early on that he wanted to operate his own
business. After a decade in the construction industry, he opened J&J General Contracting.
Tyler knew his vision was greater than his original plan. Years in the field working with frustrated home owners and inconsistent suppliers, led Tyler to
believe the market needed to offer more than another remodeling or construction
company and Home Artisan Authority (HAA) was born.
Homeowners love his sense of humor and no-frills, direct communication style because
expectations are clearer and the building process is more enjoyable. With
attention to operational detail and introduction of technology and systems
processes, HAA has set greater performance standards for the industry.
Tyler is married to Amy E. Wood; together they have a young daughter, Morgan. A
1998 graduate of the University of North Texas, Tyler is a board member of the Denton
Main Street Association, a member of Leadership Denton and was Vice President on
Theta Chi Fraternity Board of Directors. He loves Rugby, and is an active member of the
Texas Association of Builders and Nation Home Builders Association.
